Yamaha WR250 best rear tire/size for daily riding?

Question

What’s the best rear tire/size for daily riding? Got a bald spot in the middle of mine now and want to go with a little less round (140/70/17). I want something that isn’t going to get flat from a lot of straight riding/wheelies but is decent in basic city “turns”.

Probably OEM will be the best for that

Continental Conti motion tires last a long time difference compound, still grip good and 5000+ miles.

My contis back tire always locks up and slides in wet weather when I come to a stop.

Stick with the same size or go with 150/60/17 or something to that affect?

Either one will work. You may get some chain rub with the bigger sized tire, but it isn’t a huge deal.

I like my 150 battlax. Seems to be wearing a bit better than the 140 i was running before.
