Ultra Classic and my stock radio doesn’t do squat any more

Question

I have an 07 ultra classic and my stock radio doesn’t do squat any more. I am looking for a good cheap replacement that’s not a Harley one. Thanks in advance.

I don’t think they had good luck with the CD players on them much. My 05 skips a lot. Bluetooth is the way.

Get a Aquatic brand..it’s a sealed waterproof unit and true plug and play. Can still use your hand controls too..learned the hard way with a Kenwood

    Get a Clarion M309

Iron Cross has made a tidy profit fixing the stock HK radios. They fixed mine…and it quit again a year later. Pull that POS Harmon Kardon out of the dash and frizbee it into the nearest waste receptacle. I installed a Sony…no regrets.

If I may chime in…I’m a bit of a sound system guy. Go for a marine grade replacement that accepts a HD wire harness so the hand controls remain relevant. Get the lowest THD you can afford. Otherwise, you’re amplifying distortion. Having an external USB port and/or BT is a major plus! You’re willing to lose the WB and CB, right?

i kept the stock unit just added a kenwood plug and play 200watt amp, mounts on top the radio under the fairing, upgraded the 4-5-1/4″ speakers and added 2-6-1/2″ speakers to the lower fairing pods, nothing radical and didn’t spend a lot of money but sounds great to me
