Tall KTM Riders

Question

Are there any tall riders in the group let’s say 6’2″ or taller ? What are your setups that make you more comfortable and help you with our length on the bike ?

Rodney van Rooyen Bar:

raisers help but are not recommended for technical or fast paced Riding as far as I know. If your just out there for some fun then slap on some bar raisers, they will help with the standing position. You can also add a bit of foam to your seat to get the seat height up a bit. Also can tighten the back spring a bit, will give It more clearance but your back spring sag should not be more than 100 mm from no weight to full weight on the pegs.

im 6’3″ and most bikes are to small for me . i think bar riser would works great or even tall bars

I’m 6′ 4″ and only run +10mm taller bar mounts. Cornering starts to get sketchy with super tall bars.

Lowered foot pegs and bar risers should help! You can also make sure your forks are set as low as possible in triple clamps, send suspension away to get valved for your weight.

I’m 6’4 and 240lbs. I had my suspension done and it’s set absolutely perfect for height and weight. I also moved the bars into top hole.

6″3 my son and I are. We run protaper low woods bend bars. We both run tall EE seats firm, I run low pegs and he runs raptor pegs.

It’s a rare day if you see someone who’s fast in anything thats not an open desert or fire road and see them have risers on their bike.\n\nSlightly higher ride bar bend?\nI know I fatigue less with Henry/Reed bend bars than stock because I feel it swapping back and forth to otherwise similarly set up bikes.\n\nForward triple clamp mount holes and bar mounts flipped to the longest side. \n\nBars slightly rolled forward (I don’t care for much for it personally but I’m not 6’5\

I’m 6’3″ and my 300 is stock all round. Each change to your chassis will have an adverse affect on handling

This is my cockpit, powerparts adjustable triple clamps, gpr under the bars mount which drastically raises the bars, a great thing right, factory bend bars, extra tall soft seat,i run the pivot pegs from powerparts, spring rate is 46 in the front and 72 in the rear, sag at 112mm, i am in love with what i currently run but always looking to improve on it and to help others who might have some issues with their setup as being tall also has many disadvantages when riding,i hope that this post will help someone out along the way to a better riding experience for the taller riders who have some issues Photo

Twin wall 996 and a BRP sub mount kit will give you great room. Only downfall is the twinwalls you can only cut down to 32\

If you are just trail riding for fun and like climbing steep hill’s I cant see any thing wrong with bar risers and a few other mods. Its for fun to spend time riding with my boys. I’m 6’2 270 pounds I do think I need some revalving on suspension. Put a race tech spring on shock and have noticed on steep hill climb I should make I’m not kinda feels like its not balanced between front and back but for the other stuff I get into I’m HaPpY with how plush it is. Should I call race tech and get valves for my 2017 300xc and do it my self or send to fast lap for 600$ What you guys think ?

I think a revalve and proper spring rate is the single best bang for the buck in a dirt bike. Makes life better🏁🏁
