Multistrada Enduro Pro or bmw GSA 1200 LC?

Question

What is the better bike…Multistrada Enduro Pro or bmw GSA 1200 LC?

Travis McCaig:

KTM1290 adventure. Best of all worlds. Lighter and more powerful than the BMW, and from what I’ve seen more reliable than both of those other bikes. Better off road than either, doesn’t turn in to corners quite as easily as a GS1200 on the pavement. But that’s a small price to pay. Still handles great.

I’ve raced and ridden loads of KTM’s, 525,610 and 640s also Husaberg 650 (my favourite) but would I want to tour Europe on one with full luggage for 2 to 3 weeks sometimes two up. No!! 690 is a great bike and so is the BMW 1200 gsa but both very different roles.

Single cylinder bikes vibrate too much for extensive touring and their performance are too greatly diminished by full loads. Twin or triple are the only ways to go…

If I was going to tour the US or Europe it would be on the 1290R. 3rd world countries would be on a KLR..

KLR is too big for Afghanistan

Bit like me Iyad, try to keep all my bets covered though I go GSA, KLR and love those convos where they compare them, can take any side I like 🙂 , Ride Mates KTM’s a lot too but have to be careful as they may see my posts 🙂

    Better for what?

I own a GSA. Awesome bike but real heavy for anything more technical than a class 6 road. Depends on what you want to do. You want a bike that can do both pretty well, look in the 600-800cc range. Opens up brands like Husky, KTM, Honda, etc.

Ditch both of those and go with the Honda Africa Twin. You won’t regret it.

Well this should be a heated discussion?

I heard Ducati’s have a lot of electrical problems.

BMW R 1150 Adventure is the best though if you ask me.

Try to ride them close together and in the conditions you intend to ride. No point test riding 500k’s if you won’t be using it for that. If you ride them both you will find not that ‘fits’ better – good luck.

    Hard choice

Depends on intended use and what u feel most comfortable on. I love my GS

Just traded a 2013 Multistrada Touring S in on a 2017 GSA. The Multi was the worst purchase I ever made. Nothing but trouble with electronics clutch and brakes

amazing how people dont answer thw question and add all the other clutter.\nThe multistrada is really not nice comparatively and not built nearly as ruggedly as a GS. full stop. no contest there. i can give you guys who had both and hear the things they say.\nGS definitely

Probably Multistrada is worth much more on a trade in for a new Africa Twin
