M4 INSTALL LEAK QUESTION

Question

M4 INSTALL LEAK QUESTION

I installed the M4 today, and it went very well … except …. I’m getting some leaking at the Allen joints where the unit slips onto the existing pipe.

I used the goop that came with it, and the leak isn’t terrible, but it’s there. I’m not getting consistent popping, just a pop once in a while.

Is there some goop I could buy that I could apply to stop the leak? I know welding is the best option, but I can’t do that on my own, so I was hoping for a different solution, either permanent or close enough to. As always, any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks guys & gals ….

Took me a couple tried and some red RTV to finally get mine sealed. Patience is key with this task.

Make sure your clamps are not over the small gaps on the pipe. You should have the flat part of the clamp over those gaps.
