    I’m 34. I ride a spyder. Screw the haters.

It usually takes 40 -50 years in life to figure out how to do it the right way

    With age comes wisdom

Them young ‘uns just ain’t as cool!!

I’m going to say it’s the price. A beginner or even a decent used traditional bike can be had for well under $10K, even half of that. You trade up, get promotions and raises at work, etc.
I wanted a spyder since they came out,but to get my own motorcycle at that price tag was just not in the budget.

I agree tht it is, at least partially, price. However, I think age-related health issues have a lot to do with it. I finally had to give up my Goldwing when my hips gave out and I was having trouble holding it up.

We’ve managed to acclimate and make a ton of friends over the years but the first couple we had the bike, if we were in big settings like rally’s or something we were generally the odd ones out so it’s nice to see that ‘unicorns’ do exist lol

    Price. September will change that.

I’m under 40 and I Love my Spyder!!

    I ride

I agree, it’s the price. Really, hard to justify $28,000 on a new Spyder when you’re still raising young ones under a mortgage and car payments. You see the same thing among some of the Harley Davidson crowd. The younger folks are buying cheaper brands and often bikes that are more like scooters.

hell I’m in my 30’s (well in my mind anyways) had to give up my fatboy because of a bad knee…love my spyder

I like riding something a bit different over here in the UK as they arent that common around here , plus seeing the surprised reactions when I open the throttle on my RSS. I ride for me and not what other people think. I’m 55 going on 25.

It makes no difference what age you are as long as your enjoying yourself age is only a number

I’m 43 and I know how you feel I can’t find anybody under 50 around me in Florida. SMH

We kept one of our bikes when we bought the Spyder….it’s our long distance tourer

    0

    They can’t afford one

People of all ages bust on my Spyder. Telling me it is not a motorcycle, hey how is your tricycle, scooter, etc. I just say to the haters, "call it what you want, it’s the most fun you can have with your clothes on. 😉

I hang with a bunch of 1u0025ers. Talk about get harassed! They still ride with me as long as I ride in the back. LOL

    They are pretty expensive.

See you only live once so you have to live life to its fullest there are no second chances in life so sometimes you have to fork up some money to enjoy your time on earth buy what you can afford but enjoy life to its fullest whatever it may be so when you see someone on these expensive bikes that is what they are doing

    0

Because most people under 40 are not cool enough.

Believe it or not Harley designed the first spider had a metal crate on the front. None are known to exist. Later they created the Fenster there is at least one at the Harley Davidson museum in Milwaukee.

I have 2 knees bone to bone and a crushed disc L4 L5. I tried the Harley first but found the spyder to be much more comfortable. Bought mine last year from dealer. 2015 RT w/ 200 miles and love it.

I’m 66, but still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up.

    0

    69. And just put 2000 miles on a trip

    0

They’re about like pickups the little throw away pickups cost 4 times as a big one would.

    0

It’s not about how old you are or what you ride we all share the same roads together just keep riding and enjoying life isn’t that what riding is about

    0

Unfortunately some people think that riding a safer bike, that reduces the danger factor ,is not as much fun, when you’re young.I disagree, but I think some people feel that way!
