I haven’t been here yet, but the surrounding area is fabulous. Check out Grayton Beach State Park. http://www.floridastateparks.org/graytonbeach/default.cfm It’s on my list and the next time that I go through there, I plan to ride through and check it out.
I believe Tomoka State Park, is the state park that folks like to camp during Daytona Bike week. Again, I haven’t tried it there either, but it’s on my list too. It’s also right there at \
I wish I could tell you something first hand, but in Florida, I can’t. These both look quite interesting though.
That link to the state parks above, has locations all over the state and I would have to say, from experience, these would be where I would start first, state parks. To each their own though.
Never been to FL, but I’ve camped in a lot of State Parks. They’re usually clean, and secure, with showers and laundry facilities.
Really, I’ve had the same experience. It’s just hard to beat the state parks.
Big Lagoon State Park in Pensacola. Grayton Beach near Destin. And Top Sail Hill. All great! All near beaches with shady camping areas.
