Does everybody carry spare tires for their trailers?
Question
Does everybody carry spare tires for their trailers?
I’m tempted to leave mine behind I have plugs and a 12v compressor.
GeorgeandJo Smith:
Yes I did when I had it. I also went to Cabelas on the way home and purchased two new tires with rims for $50 or so to make teh rest of the 11K run
Answers ( No )
Took mine off, putting it back on. Had a bent rim no patch kit could fix.
I carry a jack lug wrench and spare with every rig I drive.
I carry because ive had a tire come apart
Yep and plugs and compressor won’t help.
Always

I decided I was being silly not taking it last night. Then I woke up to all this solid advice and confirmed it was the right decision. \nThanks everyone.
I have two mounted under both my trailers. I positioned them to help even the tongue weight out. Why two, if you use one you still have piece of mind.
I don’t carry one after all I don’t have a spair for the bike.
Don’t some states require trailers to have a spare? \n\nI carry one, but I just realised I don’t have a lug wrench to change it. Doh!
We carry a spare instead of other stuff. It will get you a ways to pick up another.

My question is what type of trailer and tires?
I don’t have a spare do to lack of room but I have fixaflat and the tires are brand new 10 ply
I have a tier and wheel boxed up for my Bush Tec, at my Father’s house, if I need it UPS overnight. also carry Fix a Flat.
Stanley, what a great idea, I’m doing the same!
The Bushtec tires are tube type and fix-a-flat will not work.
We carry a spare but the only flat we have ever had was on the bike.
I do…I have one for both campers and cargo trailer…I have towing and roadside service for the bike but not the trailers…
Always. Mounted mine on the trailer tongue. Carry a small sizzor jack, handle ,wrench and plugs in trailer.
I don’t carry a jack for the camper. The stabilizer legs will lift it off the ground and that’s less weight.
