Best and Cheapest Motorcycle Battery

Question

Time to buy a battery. What’s best and cheapest?
Question Owner:Julian

Adam Limbrey:
Best value is Motobatt. Ultimate performance and reliability is Lithium – I have a Ballistic on my XV750 tracker. Big money but so powerful and 1/4 size/weight of the original

The cheapest isn’t best I’m using lithium ion. The box they come in weighs more than the battery

Motobatt, fit ’em to all my bikes, the norton was eating a battery a year, had the motobatt 3 years now, vibration and neglect proof. Bought one a year ago for the laverda, it sat on the shelf for a year, put it on 3 weeks ago, started straight away, can’t ask for more.

If you want to protect your sprag, don’t go for the cheapest, go for highest CCA. Buy cheap and you’ll end up replacing every 1-2 years. I buy Yuasa AGM every time and generally get around 5 years. Cheap is false economy, unless you’re just getting on the road to sell.
