Anyone tried Tri-Nessa or NuvaRing, if so, how was your experience? What’s the best method of bc for no weight gain, a monthly cycle, least side effects & no acne issues.

  1. I would honestly start with my preferred method of delivery. If you don't trust yourself to take a daily pill at the same time everyday? Then don't choose pills. The pills are probably the easiest if you are responsible enough to handle them and Tri-Nessa is not the ONLY combined pill on the market. There are over 100 different brands available all with different dosages and formulations. Unlike an OTC drug, it is not your job to choose. Rather you need to see your doctor and present any questions or concerns you have to them, and they will help you choose.

  3. I'm in the USA but haven't started the patch yet I am switching soon

  4. all the ladies using the patch what country are you in??

  5. Trinessa caused me to go into a deep depression on my break weeks. To the point where I thought about suicide.
    Nuvaring I absolutely love.

  6. I have not tried the patch.

  7. Not a problem 🙂 I'm trying the patch next…. Have you tried that yet?

  8. Chastin Kierner, I've heard this a lot & thanks for posting what you've experienced.

  9. My ring always slides down and gets to be really uncomfortable. I also get way too many yeast infections because I have SO much discharge. I do love how you only deal with the ring once when you put it in and once when you take it out but for me the bad out weighs the good.

  10. Chastin Kierner, what happened that you're switching?

  11. I'm on the nuva ring and I absolutely hate it I have an appointment to switch methods.

  12. Apart from the depo, no method of birth control causes direct weight gain. Not sure what you mean by 'monthly cycle' – all combination pills will give you, in general, 3 weeks without a period and one week with a period (mini pills are different, since you don't have a break week). There's no way to tell you which ones affect you the least because it depends entirely on the individual.

Basically, the only claim that birth control makes is protection against pregnancy. Everything else is only a potential side effect, which you may or may not experience. Nobody can tell you what you will experience.
