97 vfr750 with cr250 forks

Question

97 vfr750 with cr250 forks. Had the stem machined and custom bearing spacer made (free). But turns out i have very little travel lock to lock and the suspension most definitely has to be worked on. Not sure its worth continuing. Im in the no camp.

Looks about as useful as a football bat.

Ha…this has been done before. I just didn’t realize they had a custom yoke made. Also they shorted the forks.

Aaah yes, them damn bends. Leaning might help on those nice straight US roads, but lefts and rights will still be challenging 😉

Have you seen this? Same idea, cheap, and it seems to work fairly well: http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/v649hp-kawasakis-new-gravel-runner.644390/

What did you do. Looks like a swapped swingarm along with the forks. Do you get good steering?
